Something not very clear for the relation between MIR and Burst limit

Hi I’m reading splynx about burst concept but something is not very clear for me

it seems that it is possible to define burst_limit as a percentage of MIR(maximum information rate)
and that it is even possible to set it at a value of 100% so in that case, for a MIR of 2Mbps
with burst applied, it is possible for the client to get a rate of 200% MIR = 4Mbps.

as 4Mbps is > than 2Mbps how is this possible? normaly the client should be limited to 2Mbps

Thnaks

Yes. Burst is a feature that allows to satisfy queue requirement for additional bandwidth even if required rate is bigger that MIR (max-limit) for a limited period of time.
