Gmail smtp auth

Gmail is disabling ‘less secure apps’ and third party that only use username and password on September 30th. Is oauth or something similar going to be implemented? I dont want to use individual admin address’s for all email if I can help it.

Yes, we can confirm that till the end of September, we will have stable v.5.0 which supports OAuth for Gmail. At the moment it’s a Beta version and our beta testers already tested OAuth for Gmail.

Thank you

Awesome thanks Nik. That puts my mind at ease.

Thanks @Nik

Gmail will still be supporting app passwords after 30th September.

The Google OAuth seems to work well for sending emails, but for monitoring an inbox (to create tickets) we’re having issues with having it set to use the reply-to header when processing incoming emails without a reply-to header. It simply skips the email and doesn’t create a ticket. It still works properly using basic auth and a gmail app password though.
